Magnolia Cottage is a place to get away from the daily to-do's and just finally get that project done!
Magnolia Cottage Retreat is for ladies of all ages that want to get away and have ‘devoted’ time to work on their creative hobby. No matter what your creative hobby is (Quilting, Scrapbooking, Project Life, Stamping Up, Knitting, Crocheting, Jewelery making, ect) you will find Magnolia Cottage a great place to stay.
In the heart of Tennessee Magnolia Cottage is located on a beautiful hillside with lots of trees and greenery. It's a place to get away, wind down and just finally finish that project!
There are 4 rooms and two bathrooms just for you to stay in. A big craft room with plenty of tables and outlets make it easy to work on multiple different projects that can stay put during your stay.
For those interested, you are more than welcome to sit in the well-lit sunroom when working on lap projects or outside on the patio to enjoy the beautiful weather.
Best of all, you get to enjoy three home cooked meals a day. All you have to do is come upstairs, eat the amazing food and continue working on your projects! Who can’t get used to that!? Enjoying good food without the preparation and clean up? All of this is included in the price!
Now to myself:
I am Jennifer, a mom of seven beautiful kids. Through the years of being a mom I cooked from scratch, homeschooled, crafted, farmed and raised six boys and one girl. But time flies quickly and all of my kids are now grown up and are leaving the nest one by one. My youngest is now already 20 and I have graduated to being a grandma to two beautiful little ones.
As a busy mom I often had to put my creative hobbies on the back burner but now I finally have the extra time to pull all those projects back out and finish them.
It was during that time, as a busy mom of little ones, that a friend invited me to a Crafting Retreat. There I no longer was interrupted every five minutes with “mommy this or that” nor did I have to worry about the other normal household chores, all I did was craft!
I enjoyed the fellowship of likeminded ladies and crafted. I showed up for 3 cooked meals and continued crafting. I relaxed because I was doing what I love: crafting!
It was there that the host left an impression on me and a dream was born. A dream to let other ladies experience what I once did. I want ladies to be able to “retreat” from the cares of life and just enjoy some quality time with others and their hobby. I want them to be able to just eat and just for a few days, not worry about cooking. I want them to go back into life refreshed and feel the pleasure of finally finishing that project.
